"Some of us
We're hardly ever here
The rest of us
We're born to disappear
How do I stop myself from being just a number?
How will I hold my head to keep from going under?
Down to the wire
I wanted water
But I'll walk through the fire
If this is what it takes
To take me even higher
Then I'll come through
Like I do, when the world keeps
Testing me, testing me, testing me
How did they find me here?
What do they want from me?
All of these vultures hiding
Right outside my door
I hear them whispering
They're trying to ride it out
They've never gone this long
Without a kill before
Down to the wire
I wanted water
But I'll walk through the fire
If this is what it takes
To take me even higher
Then I'll come through
Like I do, when the world keeps
Testing me, testing me, testing me
Wheels up
I got to leave this evening
I can't seem to shake these vultures
Off of my trail
Powers is made
By power being taken
So I keep on running to protect my situation
Down to the wire
I wanted water
But I'll walk through the fire
If this is what it takes
To take me even higher
Then I'll come through
Like I do, when the world keeps
Testing me, testing me, testing me
Whatcha gonna do about it?
Don't give up, don't give up"

Hello World,
I am currently feeling quite sleepy, but I have to muster up the energy to get ready to go to a birthday shindig at V20 for my friend Judy's birthday. I don't know why I'm so tired! Maybe it's because I went to sleep at 4 am last night. BAH. I woke up at 11:15 this morning and realized that I am supposed to meet Rick for lunch at noon in Alhambra (it takes about 30 minutes for me to get there). We ate @ Johnny Rockets. Yum =) And I finally got to give him back his Triumph the Insult Comic Dog DVD back from more than a year ago. I congratulate self for getting there on time. =)
Why are candles so pretty? That flickering and the light it creates is so soothing.
These pictures were from the Yelp lunch we had last week. Darren is such a little kid sometimes. I'm glad he's my roommate. I think he's the best roommate of all time! =)

A big hello to the World,
I just finished taking my ecology final.. and I think I did okay! I took my mammalogy final yesterday also... and I think I did the best out of all my finals on that one. But, I still have one more final on Friday... the dreaded ichthyology class with basically the worst teacher of all time. =/ Ahhh.. well, that's okay. I'll get through it! Then I have a few weeks of break before winter quarter starts at Cal Poly again.
I went to see Breakestra last Friday at the Root Down's 9th Anniversary party at a secretly located warehouse. They were of course, awesome as always. I don't expect anything less than spectacular from the band. Their music is so good! Want an example? Check out this song:
It's called Show and Prove. One of my favorites from their Hit The Floor album. =)
I'm going to try and see them for New Years too. Supposedly, they are going to play at Zanzibar at the end of the year. I must follow this band around anytime they play in the LA area because they only play about every few months here.. After a few months after seeing them, I start going into Breakestra deprived mode where I need to see them live and dance all night!! hehe.
Okay guys, I'm off for a nappy with The Pie! Pictures lastly...

Hi World!
I just got my two new additions... Oreo and Winnie. =) I got them because a couple (whom I don't know) split up and neither wanted the rats anymore. An email got forwarded to Erin, which she sent to me... and the rest is history! or, present rather. Cory met them today too... and was going a bit crazy! When they were drinking from their water bottle, it makes a "click click click click" noise... and Cory was all frantic trying to figure out what it was. hehe. Here are some pictures of my new babies!! and my current bundle of orange joy. ;)

Hello!
It feels really weird to not address a diary by a name, only because I am so used to doing so with my Tobey in Diaryland (sometimes called TB). So I shall have to make one for this one too... It feels strange because I feel like I'm talking to myself. Which, in actuality, that is what I'm doing but you know what I mean!? I think I shall just dubb this.. World. Because I write about more superficial goings here, rather than emotional bouts like with Tobey, which is much more "personal". Not that I'm hiding my emotions... I think I'm an open book, and any friends who want to read Tobey can simply ask me, and I'll send them the link.
I'm going to Laguna Beach with my ecology class very soon.. then Naoko and I are going to meet our mammalogy class in Palm Desert for an overnight camping trip. It should be lots of fun! =) I'll take lots of pictures and post them when I get back. I really need to buy my own camera. That's the next "big" thing to buy on my list! Because I need to return my parents pronto. And I know sarahhleee really misses it.
The above is from a Yelp party I went to a while back!
This is my friend Rene. =) Isn't she the cutest?
This reminds me of Rene.... hehe. I'm not going to say
anything about it!! Or I'll get in trouble.
This ribbon is from the singles party I went to last night.
on it, you can go to Tobey!
Hola!
How goes it in the land of the internet? In the reality of my world, there have been many a changes to my very routine life I've had for the past two years. And that is okay. That is reality and that is life. Change is constant, and well, you either have to adapt with what life gives you, or give up. And I can't give up. I refuse! Things are going to be tough going on my side for a while, but I know that time is on my side.
I think it's important for people (including me), to look at the reality of what IS happening, rather than thinking about what "could have" happened. I know many people do this... and I usually don't. Simply because what "could have" happened, DIDN'T. So, why bother? Why bother thinking thoughts that are of no use to your current life. "Done bun cannot be undone." Boiled, scrambled or sunny-side up eggs cannot be put back into the form of shell, yolk and albumen as it was before it was cooked. And things that have happened in your life and past are of the same. The best thing you can do, is simply try to learn and grow from the experience. And I promise that I will do that for myself because it's not simply a goal to be happy. Happiness is a pathway, not the destination.

Life is... 10% what happens to you, and 90% how you react to it." =) =)

Hello!
Joey and I had to make a poster for a Spirit Rally we are going to for work on Wednesday. Here is the finished poster that we created! Joey did all the fancy lettering and buildings. I drew the cartoon figures and colored! Whew! It took a long ass time and I'm glad it's done and over...
hehe. Well, to be honest with you, I don't much care. We were sort of assigned to do it.. so we had no choice. We had fun making it anyway. I'll let you know how the rally goes!
